Hexagon 2012 officially begins tomorrow evening, but the MGM Grand in Las Vegas is buzzing with activity as the first attendees make their way to today’s global Technical User Forum meetings. TUF meetings are held annually at our international users’ conference. Today’s meetings will cover:

GetSmart! webinar: Improving Data Quality and Speeding Project Implementation

Improving data quality and speeding project implementation is the focus of an upcoming GetSmart! webinar. Intergraph's Validation, Transformation, and Loading (VTL) solution can be used to validate and upgrade data quality for existing brownfield plants and assist the migration from legacy data systems.

VTL manages data acquisition from multiple sources and verifies the quality of incoming data before loading into target project or operations systems. Data is held in a staging area, subject to rigorous quality control before being extracted for loading into target systems, including Intergraph's SmartPlant Enterprise data warehouses and other enterprise applications.

During the last year, Intergraph has worked with various domain experts from different regions of the world and identified a standard set of registers that are used across the plant life cycle during data take-on and data handover. These pre-configured registers should help make project implementations faster and easier, and also can be extended or modified quickly and easily.

Intergraph CAU 2012 Express events attract over 850 attendees worldwide!

Intergraph CADWorx & Analysis Solutions (ICAS) took CADWorx & Analysis University (CAU) on the road with CAU Express, covering the ICAS products: CADWorx, CAESAR II , and PV Elite. CAU 2012 Express was held in eight locations around the world:

• March 22, Johannesburg, South Africa
• March 26, Dubai, UAE
• March 28, Mumbai, India
• March 30, Chennai, India
• April 25, Yokohama, Japan
• April 27, Beijing, China
• April 30, Seoul, Korea
• May 2, Singapore

These events were very successful, with over 850 delegates attending these one-day, advanced technical learning, and powerful networking seminars. Rick Allen, Intergraph Process, Power & Marine senior vice president and Intergraph CAS president, presented a keynote on "Enhancing Productivity through Collaboration" at each of the CAU Express stops. All delegates then attended four 90-minute classes for the rest of the day, focusing on their chosen product track or field of interest.

CAESAR II, the leading pipe stress analysis solution in the world, continues to be popular with great attendance at all eight events. However, there was also a lot of interest in CADWorx, particularly in the latest release of CADWorx 2013.
