Grenland and Intergraph to present at ARC Forum

Grenland Group, a global EPC specializing in oil & gas and offshore rigs, semisubmersibles, and drillship design, will co-present with Intergraph at the ARC Advisory Group’s World Industry Forum on Feb. 10 in Orlando.

Terje Orbeck, Norway-based CAD manager for Grenland, will present “SmartPlant Enterprise in Grenland Group: A Multi-discipline Design Tool with Strong Engineering Power” at the 3D and Virtual Strategies for Project and Asset Information Management session.

Orbeck will describe Grenland’s approach to replacing its plethora of disparate CAD and data management tools with Intergraph SmartPlant Enterprise solutions. By moving to a common engineering platform, Grenland was able to improve design quality, data control and save resources.

Grenland implemented SmartPlant 3D for design and SmartPlant Foundation to consolidate its engineering design database. In addition, the firm used SmartPlant Enterprise solutions for P&ID, instrumentation, and electrical applications.

The ARC Advisory Group, a leading industry analyst firm, ranked Intergraph the No. 1 overall engineering design 3D software and process engineering tools (PET) provider worldwide according to its PET Worldwide Outlook Market Analysis and Forecast through 2013.
